Welcome from Co-op Academy Princeville

Welcome to our first newsletter, it's been a busy term at Princeville with the year 6's on their residential in Malham, plus taking the top prize in the Trust GoIT final, winning the event against all other West Yorkshire Co-op Academies. The team's Heat Spotter app was amazing!

Year 6 Residential

Our Year 6s had an amazing time on their residential in Malham!

From exploring the beautiful countryside to taking on lots of fun (and sometimes muddy!) challenges, the children threw themselves into every activity with huge smiles on their faces.

They showed fantastic teamwork, resilience and independence all week, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. Lots of brilliant memories were made – and a few tired faces on the way home!

New Teachers

We’d like to welcome Miss Khan, who will be teaching Shaw class after the half term. Here is a message from her:

Hello! My name is Mrs Khan and I am so excited to be your Year 2 teacher in Shaw class! I am currently teaching Year 1 and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas and fun learning into our classroom after half term. I don’t live far from school, so I am part of our wonderful community, just like most of you! I love reading and sharing stories. I can’t wait to share lots of amazing books with you!

5 Beethoven will be welcoming their new teacher- Miss Knight. Here is a message from her:

Hello! My name is Miss Knight and I am so excited to be your teacher in Beethoven class! I love art, and football, and I can’t wait to bring lots of creativity, fun and learning into our classroom. I’m really looking forward to joining Team Princeville and getting to know each and every one of you. We’re going to have an amazing time together!

Attendance

We are delighted to celebrate our fantastic attendance this year!

So far, 55 children have achieved 100% attendance for the year to date – a brilliant accomplishment.

58 children have achieved 100% attendance this half term. These children will receive a certificate in assembly after the half term break.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment to coming to school every day and making the most of their learning opportunities. These children will be entered into our raffle prize draw. Keep up the great work!
