The event, which took place on January 27, was a fantastic showcase of tech talent and bright ideas, as Year 6 pupils from across our Trust came together to look at ways we can use technology to protect our planet.

Delivered in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), GoIT is a brilliant programme that gives our children a practical introduction to the digital world. By taking part, our pupils have been building the skills they'll need for the future in a fun and hands-on way.

We are delighted to announce that our fantastic pupils took the top prize with the team's Heat Spotter app! Our pupils were challenged to use technology to solve a real-world problem in their community, and the judges were very impressed with their thoughtful solution.

It was great to see such a variety of ideas from other schools too, including projects focused on reforestation and reducing food waste.
