Consultation on a proposed expansion of Co-op Academy Delius and closure of Resourced Provision at Co-op Academy Princeville
We would like to inform you about an exciting proposal involving Co-op Academy Princeville and Co-op Academy Delius. In partnership, both schools submitted a proposal to Bradford Local Authority (LA) to expand the number of specialist school places available for children with high needs across the city.
If the proposal goes ahead, this would mean there is the potential to allocate space within our school building to Co-op Academy Delius, a high-performing special school which was judged as ‘Good’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection (2023). Co-op Delius are currently located within the school site and share facilities at the school.
The proposal is to close the Resourced Provision at Co-op Academy Princeville to give Co-op Academy Delius room to expand their current provision by 40 places. We are working in partnership with Lidget Green Primary School in order to relocate the Resourced Provision to the neighbouring school. Lidget Green Primary school are running a separate consultation in order to seek approval from the DfE to open a Resourced Provision. As the local authority staff and manage this provision, all staff will move over to the Lidget Green School to ensure continuity for the children.
